ReplyDeletePower is back to most of Calheta, we were staying in Estreito da Calheta, the fire was getting close to the villa and the smoke was quite bad so we have moved down to Calheta for the moment.
ReplyDeleteStay safe, others are in similar situation as well
ReplyDeleteWe are in a villa to the east of Calheta and only got power back about two hours ago. Absolutely terrible to see what these fires are doing to the beautiful countryside and people living here.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteAre there any News regading the fire in Calheta? We booked vacation at Hotel Jadin Atlantico beginning from next Sunday.
All the best to the people at calheta!
All is calm. Still lots of smoke and ash still falling but fires seem to be out. Went up the cable car yesterday and whilst a lot of burnt out areas, all seems safe
