Sao Joao children's parade in Porto Santo

Thank you to my good friend David for sending me the photos.

Don't forget all the other celebrations tomorrow evening, the eve of Sao Joao which is June 24th.
Canico de Baixo is a very popular place to be, hundreds go there for the celebrations, music food BBQs and then the traditional midnight swim.

I wont be there to enjoy it this year, as I am in the UK, but I hope all my friends have a great time and enjoy a few drinks for me.

    Madeira really does have some fantastic FREE entertainment. There doesn't seem to be a week go by without some festa or activity for people to enjoy. Really is brilliant. It costs an arm and a leg to visit many places in the UK and for a family the entrance prices to venues can be a significant amount of money. Madeira is hard to beat when it comes to entertainment such as the one shown.
