Lugar de Baixo

This is Lugar de Baixo, Where a Marina once was, and millions upon millions of euros thrown into it to try to put it right so many times.

  1. Shame on the government for wasting so much money on a project that should never have been started in the first place. The huge amount of money wasted here could have gone to help build a new hospital and also give aid to those on the island who are in need. It would also be a good use of government money to spend some on animal welfare as this is an area that is very overlooked on the island. The government needs to start spending money where it is needed and on areas that will benefit its people and the island the most. Far too many costly unfinished projects all over the place. Disgraceful.

  2. Correction Emily..... it was EU money and that certainly didn´t come from the huge amounts the portugese government pays to that club. But do not forget the shamefull role played by the croonies of AJJ via Sociedade Ponta do Oeste.

  3. Yes EU money, but surely the government in Madeira have a big say on where that money was spent/wasted?

  5. If they could just take down the iron sheeting and people could look at the sea, it is still always fasinating.
