A rare event in the Atlantic at the moment as a tropical storm south of the Azores became the first named storm in January since 1978. And the storm has is gaining power and today has been upgraded to a hurricane which makes it the the first January hurricane since 1938.
The Ek Niño is said to be the cause of the storm which is due to hit the Azores tomorrow morning before weakening.
The Azores islands are on Red Alert and take what action they can as the storm rolls in with winds of 75 kmph....
