Expressway Closed

Take note if your heading North-West this weekend.

The Road between Ribeira da Janela and Porto Moniz will be closed over the weekend.
From 6pm Saturday till 7pm Monday this part of the Via Rapida will be closed as work is carried out on the hillside where there was a large rockfall/landslide blocking one lane of the road. I past this the other day, and the rocks that fell are larger than most small cars, very lucky no one was hurt.
