Strong winds in Santa Cruz today led to 14 aircraft being diverted to Porto Santo, Canary Islands or returning to airport of origin.
The Porto Santo Ferry also cancelled the sailing today due to strong seas affecting 187 passengers.
The weather has settled down a lot this evening with the yellow alerts being lifted at 1pm this afternoon.
