Love him or hate him, but no one can fault Cristiano  Ronaldo for his charity work.

Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t exactly known for being the shy and retiring type.

He loves a selfie, an Instagram post or just about anything in terms of publicity.

He also loves helping out victims of natural disasters – as we saw when he donated a huge sum to the people affected by the fires in his home of Madeira – and he also donates a fair bit to charity.

That’s why it comes as no shock he’s decided to create an app to help refugees – but of course, it had to have a rather Ronaldo twist to it.

All proceeds will go to Save the Children, a charity Ronaldo frequently works with.

It’s a selfie app, but not just any selfie app. You can pay to have pictures with Ronaldo, only he’s not actually there in person, but he will appear in the selfie.

Ronaldo officially opens hotel.

Cristiano Ronaldo will come to Madeira next Friday 22 July to officially open the first of his four hotels in a partnership with Pestana Group.

The opening will take place at 6pm.

The first of Cristiano Ronaldo and Pestana group boutique hotels opened its doors in Funchal today, the highly anticipated opening marks the ‘kick off’ of the partnership between Dionísio Pestana and Cristiano Ronaldo – who both hail from the Portuguese island.

Inspired by Ronaldo’s CR7 brand, the boutique hotel combines Art Deco with contemporary style and is designed with the modern day millennial traveller in mind, allowing them to stay connected to the world throughout their stay.

High-speed Wi-Fi will be available in all indoor and outdoor spaces and each room will include Apple TV as well as Bluetooth audio and HDMI connections. Pestana CR7 Funchal will feature just 49 keys with 25 CR type rooms, 23 CR superior rooms and one CR7 Suite.

In addition to all the facilities of the CR rooms, the CR7 Suite will include a Playstation 4, Virtual Reality Glasses and games, and even equipment for cardio workouts complete with a self-developed workout plan.

For complete relaxation, guests can unwind at the rooftop pool and deck offering fantastic views over the marina and hillside that characterise the city of Funchal.

For a more lively experience, the lounge will offer a menu of vibrant cocktails and the restaurant will include an open-oven concept for a unique dining experience.

True to the brand, Pestana CR7 Funchal will also feature a customised programme – Get In Shape – at the outdoor gym and sauna for those keen on maintaining a healthy lifestyle during their stay.

The next Pestana CR7 is scheduled to open in Lisbon later this year, with two more to follow in Madrid and New York in 2017.

CR7 Hotel.

Cristiano Ronaldo announced on social networks an image that is already on the facade of one of the hotels with his brand and the Pestana Group, to be opened in Lisbon at the end of the year, called CR7 Pestana Hotel.

The photo shows a unit with the predominant colors in light blue and references Pestana CR7 Hotel, which will be in downtown Lisbon, although the first unit to be opened will be the one in Funchal (Praca do Mar), which may occur before the Summer.

Two other hotels to be opened in 2017 will be located in Madrid and New York, always combining two of the strongest Madeiran brands in the world , CR7 and Pestana.

CR7 Museum

Cristiano Ronaldo opened his Museum on Sunday 15th December  in Funchal.

A life like model of the player and many of his trophy's and other awards are on show including 2 golden boots. Entry is free to children and students, and €5.00 for adults.
