Windy weather is again causing problems at the airport today with British Airways again canceling the flight. Part of the metal roof on the control tower was also blown off with the wind yesterday.
Today so far 11 flights have been affected with gusts or 126kmh being recorded.
The wind has certainly caused many problems this last month for the airport with many aborted landings, diverted flights and canceled trips.
Yesterday Saturday 6th a total of 24 flights were canceled. It is strange how the wind seems to be so strong just on the western point causing so many problems at the airport. The weather elsewhere is sunny and fine with hardly a breeze.
