Congratulations to the Madeiran Luis Fernandes crowned the winner of the Madeira Island Ultra Trail (MIUT).
The island athlete completed the stuffest part of this international event, a total of 115 km (3 Marathons), with a time of 14: 36.19 hours and came to celebrate not only the title of Madeira, but the Portugal champion Ultra Trail.
In second place was Nuno Silva with a time of 14:50:34, while closing the podium was another Madeiran, Luís Duarte with the final record of 14: 59.09.
I have friends over from Germany who took part in the competition as well doing the 42 km run, (marathon)
Well done to everyone who took part, I will raise a glass to you all ;-)
