Carnival.

Carnival time is here, and the festivities start soon.

Below is the full Program in English.

The main Parade is on the Saturday evening 14th February 9pm, Valentines day. 

Dont forget if your out in the evenings, the ever popular Transvestite night is Friday 13th, and Pajama and Hippy nights follow on the Sunday and Monday.
Tuesday is a bank holiday, and the Slap Stick parade is in the afternoon from 4 pm.

    Have fun if you are lucky enough to be in Madeira for the carnival. We had a great time when we went and particularly liked seeing our local cafe owner dressed up in stilettoes, long curly wig, mini skirt and fishnets 😁
