Unfinished Projects

Alberto João Jardim steps down as president after 37 years in power, the longest running president ever. Early elections will take place on March 29th I believe.

Everyone is now looking at more that 20 projects which have been left unfinished, including tunnels and roads. 430 million euros is needed to finish these projects.
Unnecessary spending also is criticised like 10 new indoor swimming pools around the island at a cost of 45 million euros, and only a handful are being used by schools often with cold water as there is not enough money to keep them maintained and heated, a cost of 1.5 million a year.
