Toughest Half Marathon

Madeira intends to have the hardest half marathon in Europe. The route will be from Funchal to Pico do Areeiro, a climb uphill to the high point of 2000m.
The event is scheduled for 27th September 2015, and will be international.
The race will also include a half marathon for relay, and a mini marathon of 10km.
The event will be called Madeira Uphill 2000.

When I know more news from this event I will post on here, keeping you all up to date.

    Yikes, don't fancy that run. Have always wanted to have a go at the city run in December, but haven't made it as yet. Maybe this year. Funchal to Pico do Areeiro, sounds like torture to me, although at least the scenery would be fantastic!
