Cristiano Ronaldo has metioned his "Roots" on Facebook with the image below of a view point from Madeira Tourism poster.
In less than an hour the post had generated more than 65000 likes and 2300 comments.
More than 76 million people follow the footballer on Facebook, and this publicity for the island is huge.
Just looking now at his post the Likes are already close to the 193000 point, as the image below shows, along with his message which was written in English.
I’ve lived to play football since I was a kid. Living on a small island in the Atlantic, I would dream of bigger things. Dreams that became reality but that didn’t let me forget where I’m from. Discovering #Madeira is to discover more about me and about my roots.
