Just a catch up with a few things happening in the news.
This weekend in Camara de Lobos is a big party celebrating the traditional drink Poncha. The village will come alive Friday and Saturday night from 7pm - 2am each night, with music and other entertainment taking place, and of course plenty of Poncha.
The Porto Santo ferry, Lobo Marinho, was cancelled today due to bad weather to the north of Madeira, meaning it would not be safe to let passenger disembark in the port of Porto Santo. There is a yellow weather alert in force for the north coast and Porto Santo for rough seas, and waves up to 5 meters, this extends to Sunday afternoon.
Over the next week at Madeira Airport, passengers will be greeted with Tradition crafts from Madeira in the arrivals hall, these will include flowers, embroidery, where 2 hostesses will be dressed in traditional embroidery , and also from the 25th Madeira wine and chocolate can be tasted.
Lastly some more good news fuel prices will go down 1 cent on Monday.......
Have a good weekend all, and if you are out having a poncha, have one for me......
