Tall Ship Visits Madeira

The Spanish training ship Juan Sebastian de Elcano built in 1927 will be in port from the 1st - 4th February.

The ship should arrive in port on the morning of the 1st, and the public will be able to visit the ship whilst it is in port.
February 1st opening times - 3pm-6pm
February 2nd opening times - 9am-1pm
February 3rd opening times - 9am-1pm & 3pm-6pm

On the 4th of February the ship may be visited by the Spanish community from 4pm. The Spanish Ambassador for Portugal Eduardo Junco and the ships Captain Alfonso Gomez Fernandez de Cordoba will welcome the guests aboard.

The ship is making it's annual journey of education with 69 cadets on board, it will be the 15th time the ship has visited Madeira, the last time in 1972, 42 years ago.
