2nd Best Island in Europe

Lets have some good news.
Madeira has been voted the 2nd best Island in Europe by Condé Nast Traveler, just beaten by the small Aegean Island of  Bozcaada (which I have to say closes down for a good part of the year, where as Madeira is an all year round destination)
Madeira was voted 97% for it's scenery and 91.5% for its friendliness.


Madeira also still holds the Guinness World Record for the largest fireworks display in the world.
If you have not been to Madeira for the end of year fireworks then you must put it on your list of things to do before you die.....
