    Hi! It's been a little more than a year since our last visit to Madeira, so I'd like to ask about the storm-broken Lido swimming complex. Do you know if it is or will be fixed? Could you post about it, please!

    Hello Johanna,

    I don't have any news on the Lido in Funchal at the moment, and I really cant see this being repaired in the near future. The last news I heard about this was that it was going to cost an estimated 15 million euros, and wont reopen until 2015. At the moment no work has started on this area.

      Thank you for the information. It is a shame that this lovely recreation area was destroyed by the storm and I am so sad to hear that it is not being repaired nor shall it be in the near future.
